“Sweet, lemony, and fresh with a woody undertone” is how I would describe Lemon Eucalyptus. It has a lovely, light aroma; yet it carries the same therapeutic benefits of its cousins in the Eucalyptus family (such as Eucalyptus radiata and Eucaluptus globulos).
Lemon Eucalyptus opens the mind and lungs with its refreshing and sweet aroma. Its lemony aroma is due to the high concentration of aldehydes (up to 70% citronellal).
It is commonly used in Aromatherapy for its anti-inflammatory, analgesic, antimicrobial, antiviral, decongestant and expectorant properties.* This is why many practitioners incorporate it into formulations to assist with respiratory infections.*
Lemon Eucalyptus makes a great airborne antiseptic and is also a great insect repellent for ticks, mosquitos, and cockroaches as well.*

“I’d love to hold a koala. They sleep 22 hours a day, eat eucalyptus leaves and just hang out. I want to spend some time with that guy.”
