Description: Melissa Essential Oil has a grassy, lemon-like aroma. Commonly referred to as Lemon Balm, this oil is native to Europe, central Asia, and Iran. This plant has been used herbally for around 2,000 years. The sweet scent of this plant seemed to attract many bees so Greeks would grow the bush next to bee hives in hopes that the smell would always bring the bees home. In fact the word Melissa means “bee” in Greek. Believed to have many healing properties people would use this plant medicinally. Melissa Essential Oil is one of the best essential oils to uplift and lighten moods. Many people diffuse this lemongrass-like oil to clear the air, and to make a happy atmosphere.

Directions: Recommended to properly blend in a carrier oil prior to topical applications. We recommend a dilution no greater than 1%. Patch test before use in case of sensitivity.
